Obituaries

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Dorothy Robertson, 91, who entered eternal life on April 21, 2024.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. 

Father Aberlado Gabriel S.V.D will officiate at the funeral mass.

Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. 

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Leona Baudin, 88, who passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

A visitation took place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. and continued on Saturday from 8 a.m. until service time.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Friday. 

Rev. Garrett McIntyre  officiated at the Funeral Mass. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1. 

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 20,  at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Yvonne Batiste Mercier, 78, who died on April 6, 2024.

She is survived by her siblings, Vivian Lindsey, Walter Batiste; brother-in-law, Dr. George Diggs; six godchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Pellerin Funeral Home  is in charge of arrangements.
